In a page torn from the "You guys are killin' me" file, it appears that Wilma Chan, an Alameda-based former state lawmaker who is vying to replace state Senate President Pro Tem Don Perata from his termed-out 9th Senate District seat has been playing fast and loose with her endorsements. As first reported here on BAPolitix on April 10, both Chan and her opponent, Assemblywoman Loni Hancock, D-Berkeley, listed Perata and Alameda Mayor Beverly Johnson on their lists of political endorsements. A review of Chan's site today shows those rather high profile names missing. Turns out that Perata and Johnson and a school board member from Oakland actually endorsed just Hancock. Hmm ... imagine that. Mystery solved.

Please check your facts:
Alice Spearman has done a dual endorsement of Chan for Senate and Hancock, Beverley Johnson was an endorser of Chan until May 8. Her name has not be listed as an endorser since.
Don Perata has done a dual endorsement of Chan Call the politicians and ask them yourself.
Dear Anon: Please check my earlier posts on this subject to understand the reporting that has been done on this subject. And, yes, at least at this site, the politicians and their staffs do get called and questioned on issues. Thanks for reading.
What I meant to say is that you might want to cll Perata, Johnson and Spearman and ask THEM, rather than relying on outside parties.
